Whoo-hoo! At least that's the premise for "Dead City," by Joe McKinney. Finally, a zombie thriller that takes place here in San Antonio!!! It even mentions the bridge by my neighborhood! Still, it sucks that the zombies begin attacking the west side of SA. I *live* in the west side of SA!

This book came out a couple of weeks ago and was written by MicKinney, an actual police detective gone writer (actually, he started out as a writer, then became a cop and detective). I just got my copy yesterday since, apparently, it sold out. For those of you who enjoy a really good zombie book (and really, this book is *awesome*, I'm only 20 pages into it and I'm hooked) then I definitely recommend you order it. Yeah, I know this sounds like an AD or something, but really, I'm a horror buff (ask my poor friend Erika) and getting to read a good zombie book is hard to come by. Of course, having it take place in my city adds cream to the pie.

Anyway, long time no type, right? I had a terrible semester. I didn't sleep *at all*! I thought computer animation was for me, but I think my heart is set on the graphic side of things. Plus, I value family time. There were many days I cried when I couldn't join my parents for dinner or a stroll to Target because I was working on a specific project. And that happened every week. I tell you, the next time you see a CGA movie, forget the director. Thank the animators for a job-well-done. It takes a *lot* of work and time to complete a model. You may never see the name of the animators (they only give credit to the supervisors and other top dogs) but believe, the animators are the guts of the work.

Despite the rough time I had in there, I think I did produce some good work. I got an A, so I must have. I'll post up my projects here soon. And yes, expect a Dante model to come for yours truly soon. Provided I get off my procrastination phase (geez, I'm so excited to sleep and play games again, I haven't completed anything yet!) Also expect a Vergil plushie because, well, I'm just crazy like that. I already got a Dante plushie Kurono. He needs a twisted evil brother to keep him on his toes. Also, I got a Vergil CG drawing on the way. It's taking awhile. It ain't easy coloring with a mouse.

Well, enough for now. Time to study for my Biology quiz. You know, I'm actually excited about taking this class. The teacher is nice but it's also excellant research for my personal pet project I've been working on since I was ten years old. It's come a long way and I hope, seeing as I'm going into the Graphic Arts program, to make a comic book out of it someday. Here's hoping.
