Whoo-hoo! I finally uploaded the pumpkin I did in this past Halloween! Get ready, Devil May Cry fans, this is Dante (DMC3 version)! For those who don't know what I'm talking about, Devil May Cry is a Playstation 2 videogame starring a hot demon slayer named Dante. This Dante is based on DMC3's version. It was really a highlight at my house on Halloween night!

The pumpkin took about 8 hours to carve out (it was cold outside so my hands were freezing as I was cutting away, lol). Anyway, I used a cutting knife utensil (found in art stores) and a toothpick, if you can believe it. I created a black and white drawing first as my pattern. I'm thinking of posting it up for any folks who want to carve out their own Dante pumpkin. Still, you really need to be good at carving since parts of it were downright difficult to cut, especially the details. Good luck!

Oh yeah, this was taken at night so it's probably hard to make out the overall pumpkin. I'm gonng post the daylight version at the scraps section. The pumpkin is rather unattractive but it was big enough for my design. I plan on submitting this to PSM. Wish me luck!

Wow. I'm really floored by the details you've got in this thing. Serious awesomeness, it's one of the smoothest carvings I've ever seen. Just wow. Freaking amazing.

I don't know the character though, but the carving is spectacular.

Why thank you! I do try my best to give DMC fans what they want, lol. I also try my best to come up with new and refreshing ideas when conveying Dante. A DMC-based pumpkin was the next best bet. :D

How'd I do that? Er, let's just say it took a *lot* work. My fingers still hurt from all that carving. I had to carve the pumpkin and finish it on the same day to take a decent picture of it before it warped. Carving it, though, was just one of the steps I had to take. Afterwards, I put vacaline to perserve the pumpkin! Man, I spent about 11 straight hours on it, battling the incoming mosquitoes and cold weather (I did it outside since the sun provided great light for me). Man... I'll never forget that day, lol.

Wow.... yeesh, talk about a lot of work! Man, I take off my hat at bot your patience and your skill. I'd never be able to pull something like that off... I'm too impatient, and too useless in carving and such... XD

well, I still think its a kickass job... two thumbs up! *cheers*

Of course. Yeah, I have each of the three, including SE(I had to buy each of them at least twice because of thieves, except for SE). I just started playing on turbo... and my mouth is watering. *drool shower!*
